This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of the Centre for Industry Education Collaboration (CIEC) based at University of York. Whether your company has been involved recently, in the past, or you would like to find out more about the programme’s content and impact; please do come along to enjoy networking with colleagues and hear about how you could become involved.
CIEC’s innovative approaches to promote science are at the heart of the educational community in and beyond Teesside, with the Children Challenging Industry programme operating successfully across the North East from the NEPIC office at Wilton.
Throughout the life of the programme, the CIEC team have worked with over sixty companies in the North East to ensure children receive balanced messages about the region’s industry and related careers and to make a positive impact on the lives of local teachers, industrialists and young people.
Dai Hayward, CEO from Micropore Technologies will be speaking at the event about the growth and reputation of Children Challenging Industry across the North East and the challenges facing its continued success. We will also hear from other industrialists and educationalists that hold the programme in high esteem.
Please email jenny.harvey@york.ac.uk if you have any questions or would like further information about the event.
We look forward to seeing you there!
