Northern Skills Group is the commercial training arm of Middlesbrough College and brings together the expertise of the College and NECC Training, working with 2000 businesses across the North East and Yorkshire and supporting learners and businesses in more sectors at more skill levels than ever before. NECC Training was acquired by Middlesbrough College in July 2016 and has helped Northern Skills Group to be one of the largest providers in the North. Our experienced team have trained over 1600 apprentices putting us in a strong position to help shape the economic landscape of the region, this is why all of our training courses and programmes are carefully selected and constantly refined to be aligned with business needs.
We provide training across a number of disciplines including Process Plant Operations, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Auto CAD, Welding, Chemistry, PLC’s as well as a range of recognised management programmes and health and safety courses which can be applied across industry.
Our vision is simple, to harness and develop the talent of the North through being experts in apprenticeships and training.
