The High Tide Foundation was established 7 years ago and provides work experience placements and opportunities to young people across Tees Valley.
The services that the organisation offers are open to students from 11- 16 years old. The aim of the foundation is to build the link between students and local employers, to achieve this we offer a number of High Tide Programmes.
The programmes are known as the Cadetships and the Sector weeks and range through age of student and level of the content.
There are over 100 businesses across Tees Valley that believe in what High Tide offers and support through time commitment, site tours, sector/ role knowledge, employability skills, and much more.
We are looking for an individual who is energetic, fun and has the confidence to inspire and drive these young people to gain the most value out of every opportunity. The individual will work with many different audiences from 11-year-old students to head teachers, career leaders and apprentices, as well as senior business leaders and like-minded representatives from similar organisations.
This individual will be responsible for building an maintaining great relationships with secondary schools across Tees Valley. They will build an annual education offer with the support from the GM, which the schools will then book onto programmes. Once the programmes have been secured by the schools the Programme coordinator will work closely with the school in selecting the students, building the programme timetable, ensure safeguarding and health & safety requirements are in place.
Throughout the programme the individual will chaperone each group to support, motivate and inspire the group to ensure maximum value. The programme coordinator will work with the Marketing coordinator to create a media plan which will capture the journey and experience of each programme.
