Working together is nothing new. When companies and organisations come together with one goal, it’s easy to acknowledge that that is a ‘great way to do business’.

But at Walton Industrial Containers (trading as Octobox), we have been blown away by the possibilities that really can come from asking the right questions, of the right people.

Walton Industrial Containers is a business with over 40 years’ experience of designing and creating unique, green and sustainable bulk containers for businesses in many different sectors; Octobox is our most unique and successful products and is in use all over the world.

However, in 2020 we decided that we wanted to grow as a business, so we spoke with Craig Huntingdon from Scaleup North East.

Craig said:

“I was refreshing to come across a product like Octobox and company like Walton Industrial Containers that had really clear goals and infrastructure in place but just didn’t know about useful resources around them to help achieve their growth ambitions.

“Scaleup North East is there to add value by understanding scaling challenges and joining the dots – we have many years of personal experience scaling our own businesses and we use that to help assess a challenge and help create genuine solutions; so it was great to be able to connect Octobox and some local resources”.

Working with Craig, the team were able to identify some key connections to help grow our ambitions and move the company forward. Walton Industrial Containers has an amazing legacy of quality products and service with many long-standing clients; but it must always be looking forward also.

“We knew what we wanted and we talked with Craig who identified some good sources to look into, and for Sales he highlighted Just Williams; we had a call and it went from there.

“It’s been a snowball effect and it’s great – we’re looking forward to the next 50 years from what we’re doing now”.

Just Williams have been working with us to help spread the word of Octobox and introduce the company to new contacts that can benefit from our products.
