Overview
The webinar will discuss the Continuous Direct Compression (CDC) process and its digital twin technology, highlighting the significant benefits of CDC, including a reduction in the number of experiments and the amount of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) required.
The digital twin enables predictive modelling and machine learning, optimising production processes and reducing environmental impact.
The case study presented indicates up to a 92-ton CO2 equivalent reduction per drug candidate in R&D settings and further benefits in commercial production, such as fewer processing steps, smaller equipment footprints, and overall energy savings.
