Many employers and workers may be wondering what will happen when the Scheme ends and what support will be available if needed. The Economic Development team at Stockton‑on-Tees Borough Council are here to listen and can work with you and your staff to identify ways that you can prepare for beyond the Scheme ending.
We recognise that currently it may be a difficult time for many businesses and therefore it is the aim of Stockton Council to ensure that local businesses receive the necessary support to sustain their business operations, achieve growth and successfully thrive. Stockton-on-Tees is a great place for business and the Economic Development Team seeks to develop relationships with businesses who may require further support, which is available across a broad range of areas such as, business sustainability and growth, workforce development, recruitment and redundancy, workforce CV appraisal and development, supply chains, accessing new markets and identifying funding opportunities amongst other things.
We also gather business intelligence to help shape Stockton Council’s future service provision and influence key partners and national government to ensure the needs of the Stockton-on-Tees and the Tees Valley’s economy are met.
