StS Resources and Technology limited, a leading provider of manpower and equipment, is celebrating ten years in business.

The Middlesbrough-based company initially employed just two people when it was set up in 2007. It has grown significantly over the past decade and now employs 6 full time members of staff and has turned over £19 million in the last 10 years.

Operating predominantly in the oil and gas sector, StS R&T provides riggers, rope access technicians, NDT operatives, and scaffolders primarily on construction or refurbishment projects based in Norway. They also provide positive pressure habitat systems for controlled hot work maintenance onshore and offshore. During that time they have worked on significant contracts for BP, Statoil, and Shell just to name a few.

Paul Hancock, StS’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our tenth anniversary. I’d like to thank our customers and staff for their commitment over the past decade. From the outset we’ve been lucky enough to work with some fantastic customers for whom we will bend over backwards to meet any challenge. Equally, we’ve been fortunate to have attracted highly skilled staff who really know their stuff, allowing us to meet and exceed our customer’s requirements.”

Over the last 10 years StS Resources and Technology have employed over 3000 people on 165 projects which have accounted for over 461,000 man hours.

Looking to the future, Paul Hancock, said: “I’d like StS to keep ahead of industry developments and continue to be a leading provider to the sector both in the UK and in new markets overseas. Ultimately we want to continue to be a business that people want to work for and do business with.”
