The brief was for a Tower of 20.0m x 20.3m x 40.3m high @ 835Te although detailed design work was ongoing. Port Clarence, Middlesbrough was confirmed as fabrication yard. Two limitations for this location were, river draught alongside the yard and a headroom restriction downstream at the Transporter Bridge.
