Delivered by CPI and funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the PROSPECT programme assists SMEs who are manufacturing products within a wide range of sectors including health and personal care, consumer goods, chemicals, materials, and food and drink sectors to enhance prototyping, scale up, and applications of their technology, supporting businesses across the North East to accelerate product commercialisation.

Over the year the PROSPECT programme has provided over 50 of the country’s most inventive SMEs with the scientific knowledge, expertise and equipment to develop their products and research, unlocking bright ideas and the potential of SMEs and helping to overcome technical and financial barriers.
Equipment and expertise to improve manufacturing processes and product performance
By optimising existing manufacturing processes, enhancing prototyping and the application of technology, the fully funded PROSPECT programme offers expert knowledge to realise efficiencies and solutions for businesses diversification and commercialisation challenges.
Combining extensive experience and informed straightforward advice, the PROSPECT team can support the path to commercialisation. SMEs can access a state-of-the-art suite of equipment and knowledge at NETpark in Sedgefield, County Durham.
