The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) Phase 2 competition window will be closing at 3pm on Friday 17 February 2023 so we are advising all stakeholders interested in bidding for IETF funding to please submit their applications by then. This is the last currently planned application window and applicants are encouraged to apply if they have a suitable project.

Businesses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland can bid for a share of up to £70 million in grant funding through the current competition window. The competition will provide grant funding towards the costs of:

• Studies – feasibility and engineering studies to investigate identified energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects prior to an investment decision.
• Energy Efficiency projects – deployment of technologies to reduce industrial energy consumption.
• Deep Decarbonisation projects – deployment of technologies to achieve industrial emissions savings.

IETF competition winners announced

The latest round of winning projects from the second IETF Phase 1 competition window and first Phase 2 competition window have been announced today. There were 22 winning projects announced across England, Wales and Northern Ireland where £12.4 million of IETF funding will help clean up their industrial processes, improve their energy efficiency and reduce their carbon emissions – benefiting industries including pharmaceuticals, steel, paper, and food and drink.
