Explore the Impact of Verifying Carbon Capture Technologies
22 Nov 2024
Read more >Northumberland County Council have set a target of making the county Net Zero by 2030, and as part of their efforts are looking at how to decarbonise domestic and commercial heating using a non-fossil heating oil as a drop-in replacement fuel.
They have contracted an Engineering & Manufacturing Network member to carry out a full feasibility study on the potential for a non-fossil synthetic liquid fuel to be manufactured and used in Northumberland.
The project specifies that the fuel is to be bio-based, with feedstocks identified including rapeseed oil, used cooking oil and mixed solid waste.
Initial scoping of the project is seeking to identify stakeholders who are interested in discussing further the opportunities which may arise from the project at this early stage.
This therefore may be of interest to NEPIC Members in this field.
Questions:
Is there anyone who would like to discuss this opportunity further?
Is there anyone with manufacturing experience of synthetic liquid fuels?
Is there anyone who currently distributes synthetic liquid fuel?
If any NEPIC Member would like to engage in a conversation regarding the above opportunity, please contact ailsa@emn.org.uk
