Read more >Leading technical insulation and passive fire protection (PFP) specialist, AIS Technical, has overhauled its brand identity and changed name to Insulcon Technical to align with the business strategy of parent company, IPCOM Group.
Acquired by IPCOM in 2019, AIS Technical’s heritage lies in supplying the oil and gas industry with award-winning technical insulation to combat issues such as noise, corrosion and weather, as well as passive fire protection which withstands temperatures of up to 1,250 degrees centigrade.
It sits alongside more than 25 other companies within the IPCOM Group, many of which specialise in similar areas and sectors. IPCOM is looking to reduce these brands to four key focused groups which share similar expertise and AIS Technical will join the Insulcon Group of companies. Insulcon is headquartered in the Netherlands with offices and manufacturing centres in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
Founded in 1980, Insulcon develops high-temperature insulation systems and includes Wearflex® – a brand of flexible products including fabric expansion joints and bellows, which absorbs thermal movement within pipes and ducts up to and beyond 1300 degrees. AIS Technical’s products are complementary and the company has already been established as Insulcon’s UK manufacturing base for the Wearflex brand products. The rebrand marks a natural progression of this relationship.
Insulcon Technical will remain an independent company with its own personnel, customers and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in North Tyneside.
Managing Director at Insulcon Technical, Chris Evans, said: “Our new name and brand identity marks a fresh new beginning for our business and provides a strong statement of our intent.
“Aligning with the Insulcon Group of companies was an easy decision as our product ranges complement each other and, together, we offer customers a powerful, holistic, thermal insulation and passive fire protection solution.
“As well as demonstrating our successful integration into the IPCOM Group, this rebrand gives us access to other world-leading insulation products, allowing us to expand our own product range and increase our capabilities. We’ll also be able to target new sectors with products where the Insulcon brand is already established, such as the aluminium market and the automotive industry. We are looking forward to an exciting future.”
