Read more >As part of its continuing plan for growth, leading systems and engineering technology company, Frazer-Nash Consultancy has officially opened its new Middlesbrough office. This milestone, the company’s tenth UK office, has been achieved after signing a lease for new premises at the Materials Processing Institute’s campus, in late 2018.
Frazer-Nash is renowned for its breadth of expertise across a wide range of sectors, which include industrial, process, rail transport, power, energy, defence, marine and oil and gas. With over 800 employees operating from a network of UK and Australian locations, this latest move is part of the company’s growth plan, as Frazer-Nash Board Director, Bill Hodson explains:
“Frazer-Nash has doubled from around 400 employees in 2012 to around 800 today. We’ve achieved this through building a network of regional offices and developing our technical offering in response to local demand.
“Initially, our Middlesbrough office will cater for a small group of specialists, but we have high hopes for long-term growth. All our UK offices have started out with a modest presence, and they’ve all grown significantly in a relatively short period of time. This is likely to happen in Middlesbrough too, as our new location provides an attractive environment for those who may wish to join us.
“Our office is being managed by our Group Leader and digital asset management specialist, Chris Jones; and our newly appointed Senior Consultant, Francis Harkin. Francis has a background in mechanical asset integrity for the process, oil and gas and utilities industries. He joins us with considerable experience in business development and an established network of industry contacts throughout the North East.
“Our new office will help us provide a local presence to support a number of our current clients and places us in easy reach of Stockton-on-Tees, Newcastle, Sunderland, York and Hull. It has the potential to open up a range of new opportunities.
“We’re also looking forward to developing a relationship with the Materials Processing Institute and making the most of our fantastic location. We’re delighted to become a part of this vibrant business community.”
The Materials Processing Institute is a research and innovation centre supporting organisations that work in advanced materials, low carbon energy and the circular economy. It is recognised as a leading research centre for the global steel industry, with expertise in the development and upscaling of materials and industrial processes.
Chris McDonald, CEO of the Materials Processing Institute, added:
“We have welcomed a range of businesses to our campus, from start-ups and SMEs to established companies, and are proud that a company of Frazer-Nash’s size and prestige has chosen the Institute as its tenth location in the UK. We are looking forward to supporting the Frazer-Nash team based at the Institute, where they will have access to our research, technology and business resources.
