Leading engineering and construction specialist, ENGIE Fabricom is celebrating success after receiving an award at one of the most prestigious events in the chemical engineering sector.
Held to recognise and celebrate the achievements within chemical engineering, the IChemE Global Awards held at Hull’s Double Tree by Hilton, was just one of several international events held by IChemE to celebrate the accomplishments of the chemical engineering profession.
With five locations across the country, ENGIE Fabricom – which provides complete solutions from project concepts to completions across sectors including renewables, oil and gas, power, chemical and energy from waste – was announced as winners of The Team Award at the prestigious award ceremony.
The Team Award identifies the best business and team responsible for implementing and/or developing initiatives, products, projects, processes or services.
Speaking about the award, Richard Webster, CEO of ENGIE Fabricom UK said:

The team was rewarded after successfully completing a project on behalf of NIPPON GOHSEI (NGUK) at its EVOH (Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer) plant based in Hull.
As part of an essential maintenance shutdown, the team worked alongside NIPPON GOHSEI (NGUK) to develop a conceptual design for a temporary flare system using technology provided by Zeecoand, with the operational support of INEOS, transferred this through detailed engineering, construction and commissioning.
In partnership, an outcome was delivered which enabled the NGUK plant to continue business operations, whilst ensuring management of this temporary change was undertaken with the highest level of plant integrity and process safety.
