We at the NIHR Innovation Observatory are thrilled to announce our upcoming Futures, Foresight & Horizon Scanning Conference, set to take place on November 13 and 14, 2024.  Mark your calendars and get ready to embark on a journey into the future at The Catalyst, Science Square Newcastle Helix, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE4 5TG. 

Anticipating emerging trends in a rapidly changing world is now more crucial than ever. This conference will bring together thought leaders, experts, and early career researchers from various fields to explore the frontiers of innovation in the health and social care space. 

We are excited to invite submissions for abstracts on the following themes:  

·         Methodologies for futures scanning 

·         Future trends and challenges for horizon scanning in Health and Social Care 

·         The role of futures, foresight and horizon scanning in the adoption and implementation for novel health and care technologies 

Important Dates: 

·         Closing date for call for abstracts: 23:59 (BST), Sunday 22 September 2024 

·         Notification of acceptance for selected abstracts: from Monday 30 September 2024 

 

We are seeking submissions for presentations, lightning talks, posters, and workshops.
