Speaker announcement! Britishvolt joins Clean Growth conference line-up.

A rapid rise in battery innovation is playing a key role in clean energy transitions and Government has identified the development of current and future generations of battery technology of strategic importance to the UKs manufacturing sector.

In late 2019, Britishvolt announced Blyth in Northumberland as the chosen location for the £2.6 billion Gigafactory project – the largest industrial investment in the North East since Nissan’s arrival in 1984. The new Gigafactory will also provide 3,000 jobs for the region, as well as 5,000 more across the plant’s supply chain.
