Read more >Civil engineering firm Atkins has been hired to support the development and implementation of the NET Power Station at Wilton International, Teesside.
The company has been hired by Whitetail Clean Energy and will work alongside US clean energy innovation firm 8 Rivers Capital – acting through its UK affiliate Zero Degrees – Whitetail Development Ltd, and Sembcorp Energy UK (SEUK).
The proposed 300MW facility will capture and store its carbon emissions under the North Sea and is expected to be operational by 2025.
Atkins will support Whitetail as the owner’s engineer through the design phases to financial close.
