Elisian Limited, suppliers of eLogbook, have added an asbestos management tool-kit to the suite of solutions available to the oil, gas and chemicals sector.
The eLogbook asbestos register allows users to map all aspects of asbestos as it exists in a complex environment such as a plant, factory or offshore platform. The register may be used to manage a regular inspection regimen, supporting auditability and good practice, or may be used to accompany the increased maintenance and fabrication activities required to maximise the operation of aging infrastructure.
Detailed and useful information is logged in an organised and methodical way and displayed logically so staff can work effectively to manage a potentially hazardous substance. The location, extent and accessibility of the asbestos are added along with any relevant notes and the date, time and status of registrations are generated. Once registered, the inspection history of each occurrence is displayed.
This solution takes advantage of eLogbook’s existing task management capability allowing managers to apply rigour and best practice to the maintenance and management of asbestos.
