If you’re passionate about SMEs and business growth then we have an exciting opportunity for you. NEPIC is currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to join the team to assist in the delivery of one of the region’s newest business support programmes.
The multi-million-pound Supply Chain North East programme was launched in February 2019 and will work with 800 North East businesses to help them diversify their offering, expand their customer base and unlock untapped opportunities in new markets.

The SCNE Account Manager will be working across the North East LEP area with the award winning cluster organisation, NEPIC. The role is part funded by ERDF, working in collaboration with a range of partners including RTC North, The North East Automotive Alliance and Generator to develop a programme of support to help SMEs access the appropriate help within the project.
The successful candidate will have:
• A proven track record delivering business support within an ERDF funded framework
• A background in the process sector; manufacturing, pharmaceutical, bioscience or engineering
• A strong network in the North East LEP area to support networking and lead generation
• Highly developed communication skills
• The ability to create and manage a pipeline of clients from lead generation through to project completion with an ERDF compliant audit trail
Supply Chain North East will operate between 2018 and 2021, and will work with over 800 businesses who want to diversify, broaden their customer base and unlock new market opportunities. It is designed to support businesses in the following sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, subsea, offshore, energy technologies. Automotive, transport, health and life sciences, digital, tech, creative, process, chemical and pharmaceutical.
SCNE is a partnership project from the North East Growth Hub and is delivered by partners across the region including RTC North, Generator, North East Automotive Alliance and North East Process Industry Cluster.
Key services of Supply Chain North East include: Access to market specialists, Sales and marketing support, Operational improvement plans, Support with digital transformations, Knowledge on accreditations and compliance, support developing talent.
The primary way support is delivered is through the Account Managers, these are highly experienced individuals with an in-depth knowledge of business development and sector specialist knowledge.
NEPIC works with chemical-processing and supply chain companies to help them become successful and sustainable organisations in a business environment that enables them to grow. Through its established network, NEPIC provides business growth support to companies small and large via networking, events, mentoring, best practice, promotion and signposting.
