A potential game-changer for your young business

The extended October 8 deadline for entries and nominations for the inaugural Best New Tees Business Awards is now just days away – with category sponsorship opportunities remaining available.

Fast-growing new businesses and talented entrepreneurs will go head-to-head at the Best New Tees Business Awards 2021, organised by Tees Business in association with PD Ports.

Taking place on the evening of Thursday, November 11, the awards feature a wide range of categories for young businesses and individuals starting out in business.

These included awards for the Best New Manufacturing Business and Best New Hospitality Business.

There’s also a category for young businesses to nominate their talented apprentices.

The categories are open to all businesses based in Teesside or the Tees Valley founded since November 2018.

Tees Business director Martin Walker said: “Thanks to all those who’ve submitted excellent entries and nominations – it’s clear our sponsors will have a tough time deciding on a final three in each category.

“But we’d urge any local businesses formed within the last three years to take an hour or so to submit an entry as the publicity and credibility boost they’ll receive from being shortlisted or winning could be a game-changer.”

Category sponsors will choose three finalists in their category before a panel of five sponsors gives scores to the entries of finalists in each category. In the most democratic of judging processes, there are no king-makers and even category sponsors will not know the winners until they open envelopes on stage on the night of the awards.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Category sponsorship benefits include tickets for the awards ceremony itself, the chance to be involved in the category judging process along with publicity and exposure for your business pre, during and post event.
