The high growth North East drone service firm based in Middlesbrough have already made some significant investment in the UAV inspection sector during their first year of trading, after heavily investing in industry grade drone technology, Providing them with the necessary means to compete on a national platform, allowing them to bid for more industrial inspection work.

Company director Dan Maine of Acklam Middlesbrough has a significant passion for the emerging technology but his credentials lay testament to DJM’s success. Dan’s experience in the engineering sector has forged a path for DJM Aerial Solutions to embed themselves firmly within the remote asset integrity inspection market. Dan himself has worked as an engineer for some of the worlds leading companies, with over 20 years experience in heavy industry. Primarily working overseas in several high-risk environments although started out life as an apprentice in Middlesbrough. Dan decided to take a leap of faith in an attempt to come full circle and again forge a career based in his industrial hometown.

DJM’s recent investment now allows them to explore further markets using the collision tolerant UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) the Flyability Elios, the Elios allows unhindered survey methods of dangerous or confined spaces with the added benefit of being able to collide with the surrounding environment and capture close proximity data of structural detail inclusive of thermography.

DJM Aerial Solutions understand the legal requirement around confined space inspection and their main aim is to reduce the outage times of traditional manned inspection techniques in industry whilst also delivering a cost-effective and inherently safer method to visual inspection of assets.

DJM Aerial stipulate that targeted preventive maintenance is now a definite requirement saving companies millions in lost revenue but also contributing to the reduction of work-related fatalities and serious injury, where statistics currently trend that 30% of all work based deaths are due to falls from height.
