Engineering Connect builds on NEPIC’s success of Engineering First Friday held at our Wilton Centre offices over the past three years.
Led by NEPIC team members Felix O’Hare and Philp Aldridge; these monthly sessions have proved very popular, with a waiting list into 2018.
Selected SME’s pitched to expert mentors from five of the regions most established companies in exchange for feedback on their offering. In addition to learning about the high-quality engineering services with in our region, the mentors also found it to be a useful forum to meet their opposite numbers and discuss common issues. In our October session, Rob Norris, Engineering Projects Manage from Sterling gave a presentation about Sterling’s site’s activities, business and assets.
The mentors stemmed from the pharmaceutical sector: Arcinova from Alnwick; Piramal based Morpeth; MSD & Aesica from Cramlington and Sterling based on North Tyneside.
The SMEs invited to present their pitch were: HLA Services from Boldon; FEG from Washington and Rosen from Newcastle.
