Pharma Connect, NEPIC’s networking event for the pharmaceutical sector, returns on the 25th February and is hosted by East Durham College (EDC). EDC is home to an industry-standard manufacturing cleanroom laboratory equipped to deliver an immersive science manufacturing learning experience.

Along with networking and presentations from industry leaders, a number of the region’s supply chain organisations will be exhibiting at this Pharma Connect x Supply Chain Showcase. In addition, EDC are offering tours of the cleanroom lab. There are a limited number of spaces available on these tours. This event is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. The North East Combined Authority (North East CA) was formed on 7 May 2024. It is led by Elected Mayor Kim McGuinness and the Cabinet and covers the seven local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
