Read more >If you are considering the purchase of a new CAFM system or CMMS Elisian might not be a name that you are familiar with, but the Newcastle based tech firm have been quietly helping to ensure safety, compliance and efficiency in some of most inhospitable environments on the planet for many years.
Their journey began back in 2005 with the launch of their eLogbook solution, which is designed to make shift handover a smoother transition and deliver greater visibility of operational activities.
Since then the company have gone on to produce a vast suite of modules that ensure cohesive operations across smaller sites to large multi-national organisations, and the natural progression for Elisian is to enter the CAFM market with the launch of Elisian FM, at Anticipate London (2-4 December), at the Excel.
Managing Director Ian Elcoat had this to say regarding their new offering “Elisian has a strong pedigree of working in highly regulated industries such as the energy and process sectors. We have been working with many of the major players in the North Sea for nearly two decades, and the prospect of being able to use our expertise to make onshore facilities safer and more efficient with a user friendly, but extremely effective software solution is an exciting one.”
Elisian are a little different from many similar systems on the market in that they offer a bespoke service. If something doesn’t quite fit with an organisation’s working practices they will adapt the functionality to ensure that their needs are precisely met.
Ian went on to say “We are aware that many digital systems don’t deliver because they simply don’t work for the user, and this is something we want to correct. In addition, we have discovered that overcomplicated systems are underutilised as people simply don’t know how to use them. Creating something that can be driven with minimal training, whilst maintaining functionality that competes with more established brands, at much more budget friendly price point has been at the forefront of our minds during the development phase”.
So what can users expect from the new kid on the FM block?
Streamline Your Processes
Elisian FM will automate manual tasks, such as scheduling maintenance, managing hazards and ensuring KPIs are met – driving efficiency. The software has the ability to integrate with SFG20 meaning that you will be automatically informed of, and can implement any changes in legislation and best practice that affect your regimes at the click of a button.
The integration will allow SFG20 licence holders to choose from an extensive library of Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules, and use these to populate Elisian FM, saving the significant time taken by writing and maintaining schedules. This also offers the added benefit of reducing failures, as assets are correctly serviced.

Improved decision-making
Elisian’s digital solutions provide real-time data and analytics to help facilities managers make informed decisions about resource allocation, maintenance schedules, and budget allocation.
Improved safety and compliance
Elisian’s software will ensure that compliance based tasks are carried out in a timely manner, and to the required standard. In addition, safety procedures, maintenance logs, and compliance certificates are stored in one secure location.
Improved communication
Users will have access to a number of modules that help to connect people across an organization and facilitate communication and collaboration between departments.
The software can be used in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, warehouses, local government, commercial and office buildings, manufacturing plants, stadia and retail stores to name a few.
Elisian FM boasts an extensive suite of modules. Here is a taster of some of them:

“Here is what Elisian’s existing customers have to say about using their existing software solutions:”
James – International Energy Company
“Historically smaller operational activities such as risk management have been managed on paper or spreadsheets. When you have a large rotating workforce, this information not being available to everybody can cause issues, particularly in a highly regulated industry.
Elisian’s digital solution has enabled us to bring this information to all relevant employees in a live format, which has changed behaviours of existing staff whilst making the onboarding of new employees much smoother. Staff often move between our various sites and the working with Elisian has made this process much more seamless”.
Gruffyd – Large Processing Plant
“Elisian’s ELogbook solution has allowed us to control may aspects of our operations centrally, reducing downtime and the need for operators to query data as the information is much less open to interpretation than with previous systems”
