Read more >Dale Farm is an Irish-based, farmer-owned dairy co-operative, who have seen consistent growth and success over some 60 years, working with farmers across Northern Ireland, England, and Scotland. Difficult business environments unfortunately necessitated the closure of two sites operating under the co-operative at both Newton Stewart and Kendal in 2022.
PROJECT SCOPE
The Newton Stewart site was taken over by a management buy-out, while Kendal was to be stripped before disposal of assets and the site itself. FEG acted on behalf of Dale Farm, taking on client responsibilities and managing an F10-notifiable CDM Project.
PROJECT DETAILS
We oversaw the asset strip-out and disposal preparation of the Kendal site. This included assistance in the form of site tour support for both site-wide and equipment prospective buyers. We worked with the asset disposal company to support the asset disposal from the site in line with CDM requirements, and to ensure the building was returned to a wind- and water-tight state ready for its sale.
Stuart Turnbull, Project Director, said:
“The Dale Farm project was a complex removal programme and our team successfully supported the removal and disposal of all equipment before readying the site for its onward sale. All works were completed safely with no incidents.”
