Read more >Engineering Project Management firm FEG Global brought an interactive survey to their stand at this year’s BULKEX exhibition. The survey asked engineers to answer, “What is the key cost driver for your current projects?”
There were 4 available answers to choose from: Energy Cost, Maintenance Cost, Labour Cost or Growth/expansion cost and all respondents were able to take part via a token drop into an on-stand display – giving an instant visual representation of the most popular answers.
The results of the survey were… drum roll please…
1st Place: Maintenance Costs with 42.46% of votes
2nd Place: Growth/Expansion Costs with 23.28% of votes
3rd Place: Energy Costs with 20.54% of votes
4th Place: Labour Costs with 13.72% of votes
Chris Williams, MD of FEG Global, said,
“Our clients all have different reasons for starting their projects – typically one of these 4 areas. It is interesting to see that there were votes cast across the board, showcasing all of the cost drivers play a huge part and are equally important factors.”
The FEG team has taken the interactive survey on tour to several exhibitions this year and is hoping that the results will give an industry-wide picture of project drivers for 2023.
Chris continued,
“Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey, we are excited to take the ballot boxes on the road, feeding into a new series of exhibitions across the UK in 2024.”
