Read more >The University of Strathclyde has been successfully delivering engineering apprenticeship degrees since 2017 and has been commended by the Engineering Accreditation Body on its unique approach to workbased learning and ensuring the contextualisation of the curriculum.
For NEPIC members there are 2 engineering degree apprenticeship programmes, which may be funded through the employer’s apprenticeship levy, which may be of interest.
Both degree apprenticeship programmes have been co-designed with industry, are delivered via high quality online resources and offer synchronous and asynchronous teaching events. This model ensures a sense of learner community and real time tutor support but also affords the level of flexibility required by your employees.
The workbased learner element of these programmes is significant and has been designed to ensure the context of the organisation is reflected upon by the learners and that evidencing of professional competence is effectively demonstrated by the apprentice.
Please email Grant Cullen (grant.cullen@strath.ac.uk, Faculty Business Development Manager) if you would like to discuss the programmes in more detail.
