Read more >You are probably aware of the concern about the funding of the hydrogen business model that has arisen due to the current Energy Bill debate. This concern arose from the initial wording in the bill that suggested a levy on domestic bills to fund industrial hydrogen fuel switching.
The link below is a letter that was sent to the Prime Minister, from a number of organisations (inc. NEPIC) expressing our concern about this apparent threat to industrial fuel switching. Also, below, is the reply we have received from Grant Shapps (SoS DESNZ) offering his reassurance that the government is committed to ensuring a reliable and robust mechanism for long-term funding for low carbon hydrogen.
