HR compliance is important to all organisations as it ensures that employers meet their legal obligations. Failing to do so could result in tribunal cases or in some extreme cases (for example not issuing a contract on or before the first date of employment) HR compliance is an organisations commitment to ensuring that these standards are followed.
If an audit is requested, an organisation can be fined if it turns out they are not compliant. The team at HR2day help business owners avoid such penalties.
The team recently assisted a large multi-site client (across UK) to complete a document audit and after a thorough inspection they were able to highlight gaps in their HR compliance.
Working closely with the management team, the team suggested several procedures to ensure compliance was being carried out at each site and that all employees received the relevant communication and documents.
All documents were distributed to staff, and recorded, when they were returned (and signed by staff) to the team at HR2day who then informed key contacts/SLT/authorised contacts/business owners of progress.
Communication was key between the team at HR2day, the management team and staff to ensure that they understood the importance of compliance and the part that they had to play in contributing to a successful outcome.
In this case, implementation of the new process meant that the organisation went from being less than 25% compliant to becoming fully compliant within a short period of time (a couple of months).
If you would like to speak to the team about being HR compliant and the services we offer, then call them on 01325 288 299 (opt. 2) or email at helpdesk@hr2day.co.uk.
