Read more >We’ve recently welcomed Chris Crooks as our new sustainability executive at NEPIC.
Chris will work alongside our technical team members, Ryan Siddall and Abigail Bell, to help cluster members drive forward their sustainability goals, with a particular focus on circular economy, sustainable chemicals, decarbonisation and fuel switching.
Having studied Chemistry with a focus on catalysis research in steam methane reforming (SMR) at university, Chris is well placed for this role.
His background in the waste management industry, where he ensured safe and compliant treatment of hazardous waste, whilst working on projects aimed to divert waste away from landfill by developing processes to turn waste into resources, ensures he understands the importance of adopting sustainable methods throughout our industries.
This new addition will hugely support our organisation’s wider activities for clean growth and driving the process industry towards Net Zero.
Speaking on his new role, Chris said: “It’s been great to join the team here at NEPIC and get to grips with the new role. I’m enthusiastic to continue the important work with the NEPIC team and its members during this exciting development phase for the Tees Valley and North East process industry.”
We are looking forward to seeing the progress he makes working with our cluster members – welcome to the team Chris!
