Read more >Decommissioning consultancy RVA Group has recently marked a decade of membership with NEPIC.
The team of specialist engineers has completed over 900 inherently hazardous and complex assignments globally, providing knowledge-based support and project management expertise for major brands, in sectors ranging from power generation and oil and gas, to chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
But with its roots in the North East of England, it is perhaps unsurprising that RVA – despite its HQ just outside London – continues to have a dedicated engineering presence at Wilton International and an office in Stockton on Tees. These Teesside bases signifiy their permanence in the area – not to mention their locally available support for notable clients such as SABIC. They continue to be involved in events in the region too, whether attending to build relationships, soak up insight from others, or share technical advice of their own.
RVA\’s operations director Matthew Waller – who hails from the North East and continues to lead the business in this part of England – is the most recent colleague to have taken to the stage, for NEPIC\’s Asset Management Conference in Sedgefield. Focusing on end-of-life decommissioning plans, Matthew covered topics including financial provisioning, feasibility studies, preparing for demolition, building a team, quality assurance, procuring contractors, managing the process, and unknown unknowns.
