Ryan also has another very important role, working for Innovation SuperNetwork (ISN), which is beneficial in the cross-collaboration between our two organisations.
ISN can provide NEPIC members with access to new industries and Ryan can provide ISN SMEs a pathway into the process sector. This includes supporting SMEs throughout their journey into the process sector, providing information on the sector, assisting them in achieving their goals and providing a platform to speak at our events including Cluster Connect.
Ryan’s work with ISN allows us to create a cluster that fosters sharing and collaboration between members and the wider sectors, ultimately supporting you in your growth.
NEPIC believes in bringing industry experts together to share valuable insights via small, on-topic, roundtable events in partnership with our members, which are organised and led by Ryan. One example is our FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies Continuous Manufacturing event, which due to its success will see a follow-up held at Labman’s HQ on 24 November.
Ryan’s other recent projects include our Pharmaceutical Innovation Accelerator, in which he has been heavily involved in developing a package of support for members in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, designed to help bridge the gaps between all stakeholders, encourage collaboration and the formation of consortia, aiding the growth of our region.
He also heads up our Future Leaders Network, which aims to support and connect junior professionals in the North East process industry who would like to play a significant part in shaping its future.
As one of our technical experts, Ryan is your point of contact for anything pharmaceutical or digital related, whether you’re interested in our roundtable events, webinars or technical conferences, he is the link between your business and the wider NEPIC network.
Ryan is instrumental in the smooth running of our Pharma Connect events for our pharmaceutical and supply chain members. He will also be hosting this year’s Digitalisation and Cyber Security Conference on 6 December, as well as next year’s Best Practice in Industrial Asset Management and Productivity Conference on 8 February.
After a short break due to the pandemic, our Digitalisation and Cyber Security Conference is now returning for its fourth year. When speaking on the significance of the conference Ryan states: “Digitalisation is hugely important to the longevity of our sector, especially during recent challenging times.
“Digitalisation represents an opportunity to save time and costs, due to its nature in streamlining lengthy manual processes. We’re extremely pleased to bring the conference back for another year to showcase the brilliant ways our members are utilising digitalisation, whilst providing a chance for other members to learn how their own operations could benefit too.”
He adds: “We are lucky to live and work in a progressive region where businesses are open to change, the conference offers a platform for SMEs to hear from world leading manufacturers about their processes and will showcase the state-of-the-art technology that is being incorporated by small and large businesses alike.”
All the information on this year’s Digitalisation and Cyber Security Conference, including how to secure tickets, can be found here.
Ryan is always happy to put your technical questions to the rest of our membership or provide advice on specific technical issues. You can get in touch via email: ryan.siddall@nepic.co.uk
