The state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) is located on the Rhine adjacent to the Netherlands and Belgium in the industrial and technology heartland of Germany. It is responsible for a fifth of Germany’s gross domestic product, making it one of Europe’s most important economic regions.
NRW is the most important chemical location in Germany with 13 chemical parks and five of Germany’s top ten chemical firms headquartered in NRW. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is also Europe’s most important energy region, with 46,000 employees working in renewable energy alone and companies such as RWE and E.ON headquartered there. The pharmaceutical industry has numerous global players in NRW and the state is also a pioneer in telematics applications.
In this free one-hour webinar you will hear from representatives of NRW.Global Business, the region’s Trade and Investment Agency and learn about the opportunities for UK firms to use NRW as a springboard to doing business in the EU Single Market. The session is particularly relevant for energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and associated technology companies from the North East of England but all are welcome.
