February 14, 2018 - February 22, 2018
Karnataka, Pune & Mumbai | India
12:00 am - 11:59 pm
Join the Department for International Trade (DIT) on a Chemicals and Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Services Trade Mission to India and build relationships with buyers and key stakeholders.
India’s chemicals industry reached $155-160bn in 2013 and forecasts from India’s Draft National Chemical Policy predicts it will reach $373bn by 2022. Alongside this, bilateral trade between India and the UK is growing at a rate of 30-40% a year, and investment is on a similarly strong upward trend.
You are invited to be a part of this phenomenal growth with DIT, who will be on hand to help facilitate potential buying partnerships and bespoke networking opportunities throughout the event.
The trade mission, in partnership with North East of England Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC), will help UK businesses to learn about the Indian Market and its business conditions, while taking advantage of a network that has been built up over many years on this week-long trip.
• Access to key decision makers throughout the pharmaceutical and process chemical industry sectors;
• Attendance at India Pharma Expo 2018, meetings at innovation centres in Pune and networking and workshops in Mumbai;
• Network with senior representatives from Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Karnataka Drugs and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (KDPMA), DIT High Commission, Tata Chemicals and ICC members;
• Tailored workshops around waste treatment, adding value to waste, R&D cooperation and innovation, based on the core competencies and interests of the delegation, to maximise business opportunities and future collaborations.
For those attending this trade mission, there is also the opportunity to join NEPIC at the 11th Annual Indian Chemical Council (ICC) Conference (27-28 February 2018). The topic for the 2018 Conference is ‘The Future – Energy, Mobility and Chemicals’ and will be held at Grand Hyatt Hotel Mumbai. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and network with more than 300 key decision makers from the process chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
As a guide, this trip is expected to cost circa £2,500 based on economy flights, visa, recommended accommodation, internal travel, etc (not including the extended trip to ICC Conference). Support may be available from your Regional International Trade team – contact your International Trade Adviser or SDI contact for details.
