Read more >On Wednesday 9th June, NEPIC hosted its inaugural Clean Growth conference where experts from across the cluster came together to highlight opportunities around Clean Growth in the North East, and what it means for businesses within the chemical processing sector.
The event, that was held live and online, looked at new methods of clean energy generation, storage and transportation and how they will impact on the future economy. While examining industrial symbiosis, industrial bioprocessing and plastics recycling as ways of minimising industry’s impact on the environment. Guests also heard about the significant plans for carbon capture and storage on Teesside.
The event welcomed a speaker line up consisting of; BP, Britishvolt, SUEZ UK, Procter & Gamble, Net Zero Teesside, North East LEP, Net Zero Teesside, Tees Valley Combined Authority, CPI, Newcastle University, Womble Bond Dickinson, Innovate UK and Doosan Babcock – covering a wide variety of topics from green issues across energy generation to government policy to funding opportunities.
