Read more >The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has announced the first tranche of winners from the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund’s (IETF) Phase 1: Summer 2020 competition window.
There are 14 winners in the first tranche worth £16.5 million in IETF funding for projects costs totalling £48.7 million, subject to contracts being signed.
The winners are from both the Phase 1 Energy Efficiency Deployment competition and Studies competition. The new projects will help the organisations to develop new technologies and processes that will help cut their emissions, while reducing their energy bills.
The projects represent a good spread across geographical regions, sectors, technologies, and size of companies. Project locations span England and Wales. Regions in England receiving funding include the West Midlands, North East, Yorkshire and the Humber. Manufacturing sectors include food and drink, steel, paper and glass.

The second, and final, tranche of winners from last year’s competition window will be announced later this year.
