Employers will receive an increased incentive payment of £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who start their employment between 1 April and 30 September 2021.

Employers can apply for incentive payments for these apprentices from 1 June 2021 via their apprenticeship service account.

They can spend the payment on anything to support their organisation’s costs and they do not have to pay it back.

Andy Carter, On-Site Apprenticeship Mentor & Contracts Manager, EE Smith said:

“The incentive payment for hiring a new apprentice allows us to invest in more resources for our apprentices, such as state-of-the-art kit or bespoke workbooks.”
