NEPIC, the North East Process Industry Cluster, is currently seeking an Innovation Executive to help drive forward innovation in the North East process industries.
Purpose of the Role
The Innovation Executive will join NEPIC to help drive forward innovation in the North East process industries, with a focus on circular economy and sustainable chemicals. Key activities include mapping the supply chains and technologies within the Tees Valley chemical industry and the identification of opportunities for inward investment and innovation. This will support NEPIC’s wider activities in clean growth, helping drive the Tees Valley process industry towards net zero.
Our Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a degree qualified scientist or engineer. Our ideal candidate is a chemical engineer or systems engineer with industrial/sector experience or post-graduate qualifications, although applications from candidates with other backgrounds and experience will be considered. They will have an engaging and enthusiastic personality and highly developed communication and analytical skills together with the ability to prioritise between conflicting priorities. The nature of the role demands the successful candidate has the ability to work both as a member of a team and also individually on their own initiative. The successful candidate will also be expected to travel extensively within Tees Valley and visit manufacturing sites.
