Read more >A new quality mark for apprenticeships – developed building upon the initial work in North East by representatives of North East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (NEAAN). Investors in People was chosen to work with the Department of Education to design and create a framework and quality mark for high quality apprenticeship employers.
The quality mark will act as a stamp of approval for employers who show excellence in recruiting, developing and supporting apprentices and will ease the selection process for apprentices, and will signal to apprentices which are the better employers to complete an apprenticeship with.
The Government is promoting apprenticeships as a respected route in to work. Increasing both the number and quality of Apprenticeships is essential to provide the UK with the skills needed to make the country economically strong and globally competitive.
In addition an “Apprenticeship Strategic Advisory Board” was set up to support project with regards to the quality of apprenticeships and the employer role and Chair of NEAAN is a member of the Board.
A framework for the award was developed along with practitioner guidance to be used by the appointed assessors to judge all applications to be considered for this prestigious award for employers in the UK.
We are now launching the trial and are asking for employers/businesses of all sizes to register interest immediately.
To be part of the trial please contact directly Edin Hamzic, Director of Product at Investors In People, at edin.hamzic@investorsinpeople.com or call 07710 511949.
