Digital Taster Webinars from Institute of Coding at Newcastle University

In response to ongoing COVID-19 situation, Institute of Coding at Newcastle University has created a new series of new FREE online events to help improve digital skills running weekly 2pm-3pm on Thursdays:
- Cyber Security for Homeworking is addressed by experts from Institute of Coding centres across the North East on Thu 30 Apr 2pm-3pm- Prof Aad Van Moorsel from Newcastle University Dr. Paul Vickers from Northumbria University and Prof. Alistair Irons from Sunderland University address security issues around working from home, sign up for the event here.
- The concept of Deep Learning, a subset of machine learning is introduced by Stephen McGough, Senior Lecturer in Computing at Newcastle University on Thu 7 May 2pm-3pm. Sign up here.
- A hands-on session to learn the basics of object-orientated programming in Python is offered for beginners in an introduction to Programming for Python on Thu 14 May at 2-3pm. Sign up here
