Digital Roadshow

The Digital Skills for Growth project we will be hosting a FULLY FUNDED Digital Roadshow taking place at The Work Place in Newton Aycliffe on Monday 16th December, to register please click here.

The roadshow is split into a morning and late afternoon limiting disruption to your business and will provide a series of Taster Sessions for you and your staff to understand what digital technology is available and if you would be able to utilise this within your company.

If a subject is of interest, a FULLY FUNDED short accredited course (12 weeks) is available.

A breakdown of the day and the taster sessions available is provided below:

Morning Event

8.15 to 9.00- Registration and Digital Demonstrations – refreshments available
9.00 to 9.15 – Introduction by Siobhan Fenton, Associate Dean, Enterprise and Business Engagement from the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technology at Teesside University
9.15 to 9.45 -Kate Baucherel will be our Guest Speaker as she is really relevant to Digital Technology with her wealth of knowledge in this field, please see attached link for her profile 10.0 to 12 Noon- Taster Session participation – choose one from:
1. How to see the story within your data
2. Possibilities of Immersive Tech
3. Think like a Hacker to defend your business
4. Digital Marketing, Good, Bad, Ugly
5. My life with AI
Noon to 1pm Course discussion / enrollment and Digital Demonstrations

Late Afternoon Event

15.00 to 15.30 Registration and Digital Demonstrations – refreshments available
15.30 to 15.45 Introduction by Siobhan Fenton, Associate Dean, Enterprise and Business Engagement from the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technology at Teesside University
16.00 to 18.00 Taster Session participation – choose one from:
1. Can you use machine learning to predict the future?
2. Let’s get coding, Python Style
3. CyberSecurity
4. Making sense of your Digital Business
18.00 to 18.30 Course discussion / enrollment and Digital Demonstrations

Eligibility is quite simply, people have to be employed and work in Durham (excluding Darlington), this includes public sector and working for larger organisations which is great news and very inclusive- All of our provision is FULLY FUNDED
