An IP audit helps you understand what IP you have, whether you have what you need, and whether you are protecting it properly.

Manufacturing businesses often underestimate the value of what they have and miss out on the opportunities to capitalise on their creativeness and even to reduce their tax bill so would benefit from undertaking an IP audit but may not have funds available to do this.

Government grants for this work are now thin on the ground so the Newcastle Business and IP Centre is sponsoring this workshop led by Patricia Barclay of Bonaccord to help businesses “Do it themselves”

Patricia will lead participants through the different sorts of IP and how they are best protected and exploited. Everyone will work confidentially on their own business and will go home with a clear understanding of what they have and what further action is required.

There will also be a representative from the IPO on hand to answer additional questions.

This free event will be held in Newcastle on 29th October.
