Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen has met with directors of international firm Ingenium Training & Consulting to identify opportunities to help businesses in the region.
The Ireland-based consultancy, which provides leadership, decision-making and strategic development services, has taken an interest in working with the mayor’s 10 year rescue plan and £600m investment for Tees Valley.
Mayor Ben Houchen said:
“It was my pleasure to welcome Ingenium’s senior team to the Tees Valley and to tell them about our plan to grow our economy and create more jobs for local people.”
Following the return of Tees Valley airport to public ownership, the mayor’s 10 year vision involves a significant investment into local infrastructure, education, employment and research and development.
Ben added:
“Thanks to our £600m investment fund, we’re upgrading infrastructure, backing apprenticeships, creating jobs and ensuring our region is a fantastic place to live, work, invest and visit.”
Ingenium operations director Alan Higgins commented:
“Mayor Houchen’s ten-year vision and plan for the Tees Valley is compelling.
“We’ve monitored with interest the developing opportunities in our key market sectors and are ready to commit resources on the ground to serve locally-based organisations and support our UK client work in London, Manchester, Aberdeen and other areas.”
