The Grand Marquee
With exceptional panoramic views of Italian landscaped gardens, the incredible 650-seater Grand Marquee is an outstanding venue. Offering high spec facilities, this versatile space can be transformed according to requirements.
The Grand Marquee is situated within the Walled Gardens of Wynyard Hall. As one of the largest semi-permanent marquees in the North East, it features uninterrupted views of the parkland and an outdoor terrace.
It is the ideal space for exclusive concerts, exhibitions, product launches, fashion shows, conferences and presentations, charity balls and events, and award ceremonies. The Grand Marquee is also a popular choice for large wedding receptions.
This venue creates an inviting setting with a personal touch, consider it a blank canvas – perfect for creating a completely unique experience.
The marquee gardens designed by Alistair Baldwin & Associates provide the perfect backdrop for any event. Evening events will see the dramatic planting designs come to life when they are illuminated.

By Car
From A1(M)
Leave A1(M) at junction 60 (signed Hartlepool & A689). Join the A689 following signs for Sedgefield and Hartlepool. Continue straight over the first roundabout. At the second roundabout, turn right onto Stockton Road (A177). After 4 miles, leave Stockton Road (A177) and turn left onto Wynyard Road (signposted Wolviston). Continue along Wynyard Road. Turn left into the estate at gatehouse.
From A19
Leave A19 and exit onto the A1027 towards Stockton. At the roundabout junction with the B1274, take the third exit onto Junction Road (B1274). Continue on the B1274, until the roundabout junction with the A177. Take the third exit at the roundabout onto Durham Road (A177). Leave the A177 (Durham Road) and turn right onto Wynyard Road (signposted Wolviston). Continue along Wynyard Road. Turn left into the estate at gatehouse.
Car Parking
Private parking is available for up to 200 cars immediately adjacent to the main entrance. Please note – The Grand Marquee has its own, dedicated car park and signage and car parking attendents will be present and on-hand during the event.
By Rail
Wynyard Hall is easily accessible via the East Coast Main Line to Darlington Station, or to Eaglescliffe via Grand Central.
