Since 2004, the North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC) has supported the region’s chemical-using industries and associated supply chain. Together with our 300+ member companies, we work to build upon the already powerful industrial base located here and make this region one of the most competitive and successful chemical-processing locations in Europe. We are a private, membership-owned, not-for-profit organisation that is led by industry. We work to support our members to become successful and sustainable organisations, in a collaborative business environment that helps them to grow.
Due to retirement, we are now seeking a dynamic, experienced Chief Executive to fulfil this high-profile role and lead NEPIC into its next period of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board, you will build upon the cluster’s success by working with member companies, along with public agencies and others, to create an attractive growth environment that will draw new investment and investors to the region. You will also be responsible for the management, staff leadership and administration of the organisation in accordance with the Board’s policies and decisions.
You are a visionary leader, able to inspire dedicated staff and you believe strongly in the core values of NEPIC and are passionate about the region’s success and industry’s part in that. You have a track record of successful strategy delivery and business management. You possess outstanding communication and networking skills at all levels and have held a standalone leadership role and understand the commercial realities and governance necessary to run a small, limited company. You are an entrepreneur who can seek out and develop commercial opportunities. You have a deep understanding of regional, national and global chemical-processing sector environment, as well as the impact and breadth of political and regulatory challenges.
